What is Elorah?
Elorah is a Bible companion that helps you read scripture, understand what you are reading, save what matters, and return the next day with a clear next step. It gives you a Daily Word, flexible reading plans, plain language breakdowns, notes, highlights, reminders, widgets, and Council conversations.
Do I need an account?
You can read and use the core parts of Elorah on your device without an account. An account is needed for cloud backup, restoring on a new device, and syncing. Signing in uses a one time code sent to your email, so there is no password to remember.
Does Elorah work offline?
Reading saved content, notes, highlights, and local plans can work offline. Features that need fresh AI help, account sign in, or cloud backup need a connection.
Reading and plans
What are breakdowns?
Breakdowns explain a verse or chapter in plain language. They can show the simple meaning, key lessons, life application, a memory anchor, and cross references when a passage is hard to understand. They are study aids, not a replacement for scripture.
Do I have to follow a fixed plan?
No. You can read a book, bring a question, follow a person, take a short reset, or let Elorah surprise you. Plans are there to help you keep going, not to trap you, and there is no broken streak shame if you miss a day.
What is Council?
Council is a guided conversation for scripture questions. It uses Bible shaped voices and themes to help you think clearly. It does not replace scripture, prayer, pastors, elders, or trusted people in your life.
Backup and restore
How do I restore my purchases?
If you reinstall Elorah or move to a new device, you can bring back Elorah Plus without paying again.
- 1Open Elorah and go to Settings.
- 2Open the Elorah Plus or membership section.
- 3Tap Restore purchases.
- 4Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.
How does cloud backup work?
Cloud backup keeps a protected copy of your saved reading data so you can restore it on a new device. It is optional and can be turned on or off in Settings. Your data is protected in transit and at rest.
Elorah Plus and billing
What does Elorah Plus include?
Core features of Elorah are free. Plus unlocks additional features, which are listed in the app before you subscribe. Plus is offered as a monthly or annual auto renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID.
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage everything through Apple.
- 1Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- 2Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.
- 3Select Elorah.
- 4Choose to change your plan or cancel.
How do refunds work?
Purchases and refunds for Elorah Plus are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. If you believe you were charged in error, request a refund through Apple. We are glad to help you with anything on our side.
Account, privacy, and data
How do I delete my account and data?
You can delete your account and cloud backup at any time. This removes your account data from our servers.
- 1Open Elorah and go to Settings.
- 2Open the Account section.
- 3Tap Delete account and confirm.
- 4You can also email us and we will delete your account for you.
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can export a copy of your saved reading data from within the app, and you can turn cloud backup on or off whenever you like.
Is my reading private?
Elorah is local first. Your saved reading data starts on your device. We do not read the content of your notes or highlights to profile you, we never sell your data, and we do not show ads.
